The Eastside Cannery fully opened at 8:00 p.m. It was planned to cost $250 million and would include 307 hotel rooms, a 65,000 square-foot casino, a 20,000 feet meeting space, five restaurants, a spa, and a lounge located on top of the hotel tower. It contains its own special events ballroom, a restaurant, the Cannery Row Buffet, and two bars.Īfter Nevada Palace, the previous hotel, was bought out by Cannery Casino Resorts, it was announced by the CEOs, Bill Paulos and Bill Wortman that the hotel would be demolished to make way for a new hotel and casino known as the 'Eastside Cannery.' After Nevada Palace was demolished, ground broke for the new hotel and casino on April 30, 2007.
The hotel was named after the Cannery Hotel, which opened on Januon the opposite side of the hotel and casino. The hotel is owned by Boyd Gaming and opened in 2005, replacing the previous Nevada Palace. The Eastside Cannery is a 300-room locals hotel and casino located at 5255 Boulder Hwy on the Boulder Strip in Sunrise Manor, Nevada.
